"Circular Passage" represents an innovative approach to interior architecture that explores the poetic potential of circular openings as both functional elements and symbolic gestures. This residential project creates a unique spatial experience through the thoughtful integration of curved forms and circular portals.
The design is characterized by its use of circular openings that serve as transitions between spaces, framing devices for views, and sources of natural light. The primary circular element—a large illuminated mirror set against richly grained wood paneling—becomes the focal point of the space, creating both a functional object and a powerful spatial gesture.
Adjacent to this primary element, a circular opening in the wall creates a visual connection to adjacent spaces while maintaining a sense of separation. This portal is complemented by linear pendant lights that create a rhythmic counterpoint to the dominant circular forms, adding visual interest and functional illumination.
The material palette features a sophisticated combination of natural wood with its distinctive grain patterns, white plaster surfaces, and subtle metal accents.
