Eclipse Nest

"Eclipse Nest" represents a radical reimagining of the bedroom as a contemplative sanctuary that mediates between human comfort and landscape immersion. This project, part of a larger residential complex, creates a unique spatial experience where the boundaries between interior architecture and natural environment dissolve.
The design is characterized by its fluid, continuous surfaces that seamlessly integrate walls, ceiling, and built-in furniture into a cohesive whole. The oval apertures function as both windows and spatial devices, framing dramatic views of the surrounding landscape while creating a distinctive rhythm of light and shadow throughout the day.
The bed platform emerges organically from the floor plane, reinforcing the sense of the room as a sculpted environment rather than an assembled interior. Storage and functional elements are integrated within the curved walls, eliminating visual clutter and maintaining the purity of the spatial experience.
The design challenges conventional notions of interior space by treating the room as a landscape to be sculpted rather than a box to be furnished. This approach prioritizes the phenomenological experience of space—how it feels to inhabit the room—over traditional functional considerations, creating an environment that responds to deeper psychological and emotional needs.
The interior utilizes a monolithic material approach with seamless surfaces finished in a soft, matte white that responds beautifully to the changing quality of natural light. This restrained palette is complemented by minimal textile elements in natural fibers, creating a serene environment that focuses attention on the framed landscape views.
